 Frequently Asked Questions…

How many books can students check out, and how long are books checked out for?

K-1 students may check out 1 book and books are due in 2 weeks

2-6 students may check out 2 books (3 when class is doing research) and books are due back in the library in 2 weeks

[note: Reference books are due in 1 week]

 

Students may Renew books for another 2 weeks if they need them longer. Students’ books must be brought to the library to be renewed.

 

Are there fines for overdue books?

No, but students who have overdue books may not check out another book, until the overdue book is returned.

IF a book is Lost or Damaged, students are responsible for paying the cost of the book.

 

What time can students come to the library using Passes?

3rd & 5th grade students may come individually to exchange books Mondays & Thursdays, 9:30-11:30 & 12:30-2:00

 

4th & 6th grade students may come individually to exchange books Mondays & Thursdays, 9:30-11:30 & 12:30-2:00

 

Each 3rd-6th-grade class has 2 Passes.

 

How do students check out books if Ms. Futrell is busy with a class?

Students fill out slips found in green box—writing first and last names, and room number. They place one slip in each book they want. Then the books with information slips in them are placed by check out computer. Ms. Futrell will scan the books as she has time and bring them to the classrooms.
